Aztec Bonanza Features
Tumbles break stone corners, add ways and fire four modifiers on a grid that grows to 7,776 ways.
Aztec Bonanza features are built around a grid that grows while you win. Tumbles remove winning symbols, and every two tumbles in a row break a stone corner. Each broken corner adds positions, adds ways to win and fires its own modifier. This page explains each piece and why the game has no win multiplier.
Feature Overview
Pragmatic Play designed this slot with five connected features. Four of them activate in the base game. The fifth is the free spins bonus.
| Feature | When it starts | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Tumble | After every win | Removes winning symbols, drops new ones |
| Corner breaking | Every 2 tumbles in a row | Opens a corner and adds ways |
| Mystery Symbols | Top left corner opens | Golden icons turn into one paying symbol |
| Symbol Transform | Top right corner opens | Up to 3 low symbols become high symbols |
| Giant Symbols | A bottom corner opens | 2x2 blocks on joined reels |
Tumble Feature
Tumbles drive the game's action. After a win, the symbols involved disappear. Symbols above drop down, and fresh ones fill the gaps from the top.
If this new arrangement creates another win, the process repeats. A single spin can trigger a long series of wins. The chain stops when a tumble yields no winning combination.
- Every tumble pays its wins before the next drop
- Tumbles count toward corner breaking
- Tumbles also run inside every free spin
Stone Corners and the Totem
The grid begins as a diamond shape with rows of 2, 4, 6, 4 and 2 symbols. Four corners of the full 5x6 area are locked under stone. Two consecutive tumbles crack one corner open.
Each opened corner releases one level of the golden totem beside the reels. Opening all four within the same chain frees the totem completely, which launches the free spins.

More positions mean more symbols per reel, so each corner increases your ways to win and adds a modifier. When the chain finishes, the next spin resets the grid to the diamond.
| Starting diamond | 384 |
| All four corners open | 7,776 |
Mystery Symbols
The top left corner introduces the Mystery Symbol, a gold statue with green eyes. When multiple mystery symbols appear, they all transform into the same paying symbol.
This symbol is chosen randomly. A cluster of mystery icons across reels 1, 2 and 3 can instantly become a full line of matching symbols.
Symbol Transform
The top right corner activates Symbol Transform. Up to three low-value symbols on the grid change into higher-value symbols.
The low-value set includes card suits: spades, hearts and clubs. This change can turn a near-win into a real one, or upgrade a small win to a gem payout.
Giant Symbols
The two bottom corners connect pairs of reels. The bottom left corner links reels 1 and 2. The bottom right corner links reels 4 and 5.

On linked reels, 2x2 Giant Symbols can appear. One block covers four positions with the same icon. It acts as that symbol on both reels it spans, potentially creating many winning ways.
Is There a Win Multiplier?
No. Aztec Bonanza does not feature a win multiplier in the base game or free spins. Tumbles do not increase a multiplier, and no symbol multiplies wins.
The game boosts wins differently. It adds rows and ways, it adds modifiers, and it allows one spin to pay out many times through tumbles. This approach differs from Pragmatic slots that build multipliers on cascading wins.
| Extra ways from open corners | Yes, up to 7,776 |
| Chain wins from tumbles | Yes |

FAQ
Two tumbles in a row open one corner. Eight in a row open all four and start the free spins.
It does not. This game lacks a win multiplier and multiplier symbols. Wins increase via extra ways, tumbles, and the corner modifiers.
Every mystery symbol on the grid transforms into an identical, random paying symbol. This can form wins across multiple reels simultaneously.
Giant Symbols are blocks covering 2x2 positions. They appear on reels 1 and 2 or reels 4 and 5 after the corresponding bottom corner opens.
No. Corner progression only applies during a single tumble sequence. The next paid spin resets to the initial 384-way diamond layout.
